Avoid, minimize, and use solar energy 100% for the rest of your energy needs. This is the solution being offered by Dr Chetan Solanki also now being called the solar man of India. Every unit of energy conserved that has its origin in fossil fuel leads to a significant impact on Co2 emission levels when multiplied by the number of users. It is supposed to be 20 times less polluting than fossil fuel and can be set up in a significantly decentralized way.

The solar man of India invokes the 2 fundamental teachings of Mahatma Gandhi and exhorts the immediate need to live need-based lives rather than greed-based lives and to ensure there are distributed production systems leading to local empowerment.

What he is suggesting is possible. All that is needed for us is to realize the deep danger we plunging ourselves, our families, and the world every day by continuing with life as usual. Once this is understood then we will realize that it will be better to accept some lower level of suffering today rather than huge doses later.

The cost of not rising to the occasion he says is about the corner and will manifest its head in 6 years' time. The time for putting this solution into action is running out.

Spiritual values of simple living and living in tune with Nature need to be promoted at a war footing to back up such solutions. The motive power to live such lives can happen only and to the extent there is true inner transformation. Meditation is a key tool for inner transformation.
